Psychological Counselling is a process that helps you resolve personal (emotional and psychological) issues. This process can help you to deal with a potential problem before it becomes a crisis.

Confidentiality
Confidentiality is essential to the counselling process. Disclosure will however be necessary where there is potential for harm to self or to others or where there is a court order for release of information.
If referral to another service is necessary, disclosure will only take place with your consent.

The Full Time Counsellor (Dr Benn) is available: Monday through Friday between 9 am and 3 pm.
Part Time Counsellors are available as follows:
Mr Farrell: Mondays 6 pm, 7 pm and 8 pm
Tuesdays 6pm, 7 pm and 8 pm
Ms Napoleon: Wednesdays 5 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm and 8 pm
Thursdays 12 noon and 1 pm
Fridays 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm
Dedicated evening services will be available to students. Appointment times for evening counselling services will be advertised. This is in our efforts to provide easier access to students who find it difficult to attend counselling sessions during the usual 9 am to 5 pm period. You may also book an online appointment with one of our part-time counsellors via the Bookings link.
Your counsellor may also make referrals to see the Student Health Clinic’s Consultant Psychiatrist depending on the circumstances and after discussing with you.
