The Roger Seivright (Sagicor Bank) Scholarship


Roger Seivright’s career spanned over a period of two decades.  He spearheaded and managed electronic marketing & sales, information technology and call center operations.  Under his leadership, Roger and his team single handlely built the Sandels and Beaches Resorts booking engine from scratch while monitoring and staying ahead of industry trends, additionally, he was responsible for the set up and management of the company's call centre programmes across all electronic platforms and served as direct report for the teams in Honduras, India and The Bahamas.  Prior to joining the hospitality industry, Roger owned one of the largest computer consulting and retail stores in Jamaica.

Roger Seivright was a lifelong learner, his interest in information technology formed the initial core of his career and his focus on and passion for the Caribbean, hospitality and the human connection with technology guided him throughout his career.

The Roger Seivright (Sagicor Bank) Scholarship valued at BDS$6,500.00 per annum is open to Level I, II and III students reading for an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or other related fields in the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Applicants should 
  • demonstrate financial need
  • demonstrate good academic performance of GPA 3.0 or above


The Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry Excellence Award 

The Award valued at BDS$5,000.00 is open to nationals of Barbados who have been accepted to read for  full-time (3 years) or part-time (4 years)  B.Sc Management, Innovation and Entreprenueurship undergraduate degree programme in the Faculty of Social Sciences 

Applicants should 
  1. have demonstrated a capacity for a high level of academic performance and have achieved at least the following:
    1. 6 - 7 CSECs General Proficiency at Grades 1 and 2 and
    2. Passes in at least two 2-unit CAPE subjects (Grades 1 to 2) or two GCE Advanced Level subjects (Grades A to C) or their equivalent.
  • provide adequate documentary support of financial need as requested by the Scholarship Committee


The Rawle C Brancker Entrepreneurial Scholarship


The purpose of the award is to assist students who are pursuing a degree in entrepreneurial studies and honour the memory of the late Rawle Branker, Combermerian, national cricketer, Senator and accomplished businessman. 

This Scholarship is valued at BDS$3,000.00 per annum for a period of up to three (3) years and is open to nationals of Barbados in the first instance, former students of the Combermere School to be given first preference and failing that a student from any other UWI Contributing country, who have been accepted to read for the undergraduate degree in B.Sc Management, Innovation and Entreprenueurship undergraduate degree programme in the Faculty of Social Sciences 

Applicants should 
  • have demonstrated a capacity for a high level of academic performance and have achieved at least the following:
