1)  Updates in Diseases of the Eyes, Ears, Nose and Throat (Sun, Jun 23 )

This session provides updates in some common and "Not so common" problems encountered
in the general management of conditions related to the eyes, neck and head.

2) Caring for the Whole Person (Sun, July 21)

Whole person care is patient centered and involves the optimal use of healthcare resources.
Presentations in this session will focus on ways to improve the wellbeing and health outcomes in patients.

3) Oncology Updates  (Sat. Aug 10)

Cancer remains the 2nd leading cause of death globally accounting for 1 in 6 deaths in 2018 (WHO).
Attendees to this session will be provided with updates in cervical, prostate, skin and colorectal cancer management.

4) The Intersection Between Family Medicine and Public Health (Sun Aug 25)

The intersection of public health and clinical medicine is evolving, highlighting two often-overlooked specialties where individual patient care intersects with enhancing the health and wellness of entire communities. This block delves into key aspects of these specialties, including advanced training for healthcare professionals and contemporary challenges they face.

5) Rising CVD Deaths; Biological Social Determinants (BNR Collaboration)

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally and 1/3 of these deaths occur prematurely at less than 70 years old (WHO). Social determinants of health include the economic, social, environmental and psychosocial factors that influence health. Biological determinants include chronic disease such as obesity, hypertension and diabetes mellitus. This session will explore the trends in CVD deaths, pitfalls in management, life expectancy determinants and hypertension management.

6) Radiology Workshop (Sat Sept. 28th)

Diagnostic imaging provides detailed information about structures or disease related changes.
Participants in this workshop will be introduced to the accurate interpretation of some common
radiological investigations and improve their skills in the early detection and diagnosis of diseases/injuries.

7) Mental Health (Sat. Oct 12)

According to a WHO report, in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by 25%.
As we navigate mental health care post the pandemic, participants will hear presentations on mental health assessment in adolescents,
The clinician’s role in cases of child abuse and neglect, management of ADHD and what alternatives are there to drug therapy for
depression and anxiety.
